The painting is composed vertically , which is key – verticality in sacred art refers to the rise of consciousness . It is not a narrative scene, but a process : the descent of light and at the same time the rise of human consciousness.

The upper part of the image is ethereal, luminous, the lower part is anchored in the earth. Between them there is a continuous transfer of energy , which can be read very accurately through the chakra system .

The Buddha figure does not sit "in space", but in an axis that functions as the sushumna nadi - the central energy channel in the yogic tradition.

The Buddha here is not a historical figure, but:

  • the archetype of enlightened consciousness ,
  • the point of balance between heaven and earth,
  • a stable center around which the entire picture is organized.

The golden aura around the figure corresponds to the state of bodhi – awakening, where energy no longer circulates chaotically, but harmoniously.

Mythological and historical context

  • In Buddhism, the Buddha does not descend as a savior , but as one who shows the way.
  • The image corresponds to the concept of the "arrival of dharma" , not the arrival of a person.
  • The use of geometric shapes has parallels in: Tibetan thangkas, Hindu chakra diagrams, Tantric Buddhism.

From a neuroaesthetic point of view:

  • symmetry stabilizes the nervous system,
  • Clear color codes support internal orientation,
  • the image can be "read from top to bottom" as a guided meditation.

➡️ This is a functional meditation image , not just a decoration.

7th Chakra – Sahasrara (crown)

Upper light cone/aperture

  • Colors: white, gold
  • Shape: flared beam from above

➡️ It symbolizes cosmic consciousness , opening up to the universal principle. The light does not come aggressively, but gently - which is in line with the Buddhist understanding of enlightenment as recognition , not imposition.

6th Chakra – Ajna (third eye)

Golden Circle – Buddha Aura

  • Color: gold
  • Shape: circle (perfection, wholeness)

➡️ The circle represents clear vision without duality . There is no eye or symbol here – because in the state of enlightenment, the “observer” and the “observed” merge.

5th chakra – Vishuddha (throat)

Empty light space under the figure

  • Color: light blue
  • Absence of a distinctive shape

➡️ This is an extremely important moment in the painting. The emptiness in the area of communication suggests: silence as a higher form of truth, learning without words (a Zen principle).

4th chakra – Anahata (heart)

Green oval pedestal

  • Color: green
  • Shape: stable oval

➡️ The heart is the focal point of the entire composition . The Buddha does not "sit on the ground", but on the heart - which is exactly in line with the Buddhist ethic of compassion ( karuna ).

3rd chakra – Manipura (solar plexus)

Rose gold circle under the heart

  • Colors: yellow, pink
  • Shape: circle

➡️ The ego (manipura) is transformed here – not suppressed, but refined . The pink color indicates that the will no longer serves power, but service.

2nd chakra – Svadhisthana

Orange six-pointed shape

  • Color: orange
  • Shape: star

➡️ Sexuality and creativity are sacred here, not suppressed. The six-pointed star indicates the balance of the masculine and feminine principles.

1st chakra – Muladhara (root)

Red square

  • Color: red
  • Shape: square (earth, stability)

➡️ One of the most accurate iconographies of the root chakra: square = earth element, red = life force. The Buddha is firmly anchored in matter - enlightenment here does not reject the body or the world .

The side shapes (stars, circles) function as: secondary energy centers, harmonizers, protective elements of the mandala. They resemble ritual diagrams of Vajrayana Buddhism and Hindu yantras.

Collector's summary

Why is this image special:

  • accurate iconography of the chakras (unusually consistent),
  • clear readability even without spiritual faith,
  • a combination of aesthetics, symbolism and meditation.
