This painting represents a staircase of consciousness – a symbolic passage through the stages and levels of human inner cultivation. The vertical composition leads the viewer’s gaze from the ground upwards, from matter to light, from rootedness to knowledge. At the bottom of the painting is a green field that evokes life, growth and connection with the earth – the foundation from which everything grows.

The garden here is not understood as a wild natural space, but as an ordered universe . Symmetry, repetition and rhythm transform the landscape into a mandala – an image of inner order. In modern symbolism, it is a sacred grove , that is, the inner space of a person, which can be consciously cultivated, developed and cultivated.

The most striking element of the work is the use of semi-precious stones and mother-of-pearl , which are hand-glued into horizontal bands in the central axis of the painting. These bands can be read as stages of cultivation – ethical and spiritual layers through which the path to harmony leads. The use of minerals creates:

  • real relief , which changes depending on the incidence of light,
  • the iconic character of the work – the image functions not only as a painting, but also as an artifact,
  • the tangible presence of the material, which reinforces the impression of stability and durability.

The painting uses over 300 pieces of mother-of-pearl and semi-precious stones , carefully selected for color, texture, and symbolic meaning.

The upper and darker mineral bands contain stones such as hematite, obsidian, or black tourmaline , which are traditionally associated with protection and grounding. The gray-brown transitions may also include smoky quartz , a symbol of stability and anchoring.

The middle bands are in green and blue-green tones . Minerals such as aventurine and malachite appear here, which evoke growth, healing and the "garden" itself, but also amazonite, turquoise and chrysocolla , associated with peace, harmony and communication.

The lower bands are dominated by warm shades of orange, red and brown . Stones like carnelian support creativity and vitality, jasper brings stability and connection to the earth, and tiger's eye symbolizes focus, inner strength and determination.

This color and material gradation – from dark tones through green to warm reds and oranges – has a clear symbolic logic : from anchoring, through growth, to vitality, fulfillment and conscious living.

Collectible potential

The use of semi-precious stones significantly increases the value of the work on several levels:

  1. Material uniqueness : Each strip is unique - individual stones have a different shape, color and structure. The work is original not only in composition, but also in material.
  2. Relief and light dynamics : Minerals and mother-of-pearl react to light. The image visually changes throughout the day, making it an extremely attractive object for the interior.
  3. Hybrid between painting and artifact : This is a work on the border between painting and object (mixed media). In terms of collectibles, it is closer to an artifact than a purely flat painting, which increases its long-term value.

If the work is accompanied by an author's list of minerals used , the credibility and marketability of the painting increases even more. Precise material data is a detail that experienced collectors perceive as a sign of quality and seriousness.
